A Project for the Holidays

Describe the World Traditions

Hanukkuh
Describe the symbols (Menorah, Dreidel, etc.)

Kwanzaa
Describe the Seven Principles

• Descriptions in each of the articles are in the students own words or paraphrased = 5
Pick one:
• An article describing each of the World Traditions of Christmas with one quote = 10
• An article describing the four symbols or tradtions of Hanukkah with one quote = 10
• An article on the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa describing each one with one quote = 10
• An article describing the history of each holiday mentioned above = 15

CREATION OF PUBLICATION
• Publication has unique titles for every article = 5
• Includes at least 2 pictures (no more, no less) = 8

ORGANIZATION
• Uses good spelling and grammar = 10
• Layout is visually attractive and easy to read = 5
